About the Nominee: Alisa Felix is thoughtful, patient, knowledgeable and thorough. She is an awesome trainer who has guided employees through the process of running the Lee County Adult Education office. Ms. Felix proctors the GED, Locator, TABE, and WorkKeys tests for students. She also processes time sheets, inputs data, assists teachers, maintains student records, generates transcripts, orders diplomas and maintains the budget. Most importantly, she encourages students to do their best and not give up on life or their education. LCAE students have to overcome a lot of barriers to be successful, but Ms. Felix uses every resource available to help students get over these barriers. Whether it's by getting them to an agency for childcare vouchers, helping with transportation, or helping those who are homeless, she does her best at exhausting her resources to get students the help they need.
