About the Nominee: Delia Walters Sanchez was nominated by a colleague, Luciana Fee.Ms. Walters Sanchez goes above and beyond for the families and community of Southwest Denver. She finds a way to answer everyone's questions, secures resources for parents and makes everyone at Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) feel welcomed on a daily basis. The relationships that she has created with RMP's families and the greater community are based on empathy and genuine trust. This can be observed every day during arrival and dismissal as she shakes scholar's hands when they come through the front door. Her ability to authentically engage the larger community, whether through outreach events or by providing families with information over the phone, is not only admirable, but telling of who she is as a caring and kind person.
