About the Nominee: Finding ways to help students learn is what drove Diane Bonjour to her daily work as a science teacher at Serrano Middle School. Currently, she is a Program Specialist who gets to give her gift of empowering today’s young adults to be tomorrow’s leaders to a larger audience, while also working as a Restorative Justice Program Specialist at multiple school sites.Mrs. Bonjour has over 20 years of teaching experience. Her in-depth skill of connecting with students on a personal level has made her part of a distinguished group of leaders that you can build a successful school district around. She truly makes hope happen for students, especially those who live in poverty-stricken areas. Mrs. Bonjour makes such a tremendous impact that many former students come back to school wanting to thank her for establishing pride in themselves and their work. Additionally, she won the San Bernardino County Teacher of the Year Award in 2013 and has been recognized as a Distinguished Teacher for most of her career.
