About the Nominee: Heather Rowland was nominated by a colleague, Jessica Wilson.Mrs. Rowland is a new teacher at SPMS, but she is not a new face to many students in Paulding County. Last year, Mrs. Rowland was a teacher at Herschel Jones Middle School (HJMS) who attended many sporting events and other activities. She did this to show her students that she not only wanted to see them succeed in the classroom, but that she was a life coach for them, as well. She has students that she still keeps in touch with from years' past to continue coaching them through life and supporting them in extra-curricular activities. Mrs. Rowland is the wife of a high school administrator, and they both have their own children to do homework with and attend sporting events, but she always makes time for all of her "kids!"
