About the Nominee: Jeaneen Brinson is a LifeChanger! She works tirelessly for the students within Eastside Elementary School and in her community. She believes that every child can succeed and supports that belief with action. Ms. Brinson acts as a tutor, counselor and mediator for her students, and she is always available to help, encourage and guide them. She is genuine, loving and caring. The students respect and admire her because they know she loves them.Ms. Brinson was instrumental in the development, creation and implementation of a chapter of The National Achievers Society at Eastside. This group recognizes the academic achievements of at-risk youth and provides a place for those achievements to be celebrated. At the same time, the group develops the leadership skills of these young people through volunteerism at Eastside and in the local community.Ms. Brinson is a gifted dance instructor who uses her talent as the leader of a community dance troop. The students also benefit from this gift; she generously provides dance instruction to her students in the after school music program. To watch Ms. Brinson work with the school's at-risk female students and their families is a joy. Through respect, kindness and love, she helps these young women see and believe in their own potential. Ms. Brinson is changing lives every single day.
