About the Nominee: Jennifer Polner was nominated by a colleague, Amber Godwin.Mrs. Polner is a LifeChanger! She is an excellent classroom teacher who truly cares about each and every one of her students. Every school year, she gives 100% of herself in the classroom. She plans lessons that challenge her students and prepares them for potential careers in Early Childhood Education. Many of her students have graduated and now work full time in daycare centers throughout the county.Mrs. Polner also works to establish community partners for her school, Beddingfield High. She establishes relationships with businesses and organizations to help provide much needed support for her school. She is also the school representative for her district's Community Partners committee.Additionally, Mrs. Polner works as a Student Government adviser. In this avenue, she teaches the students about leadership, citizenship and community service. The Student Government is currently working on a Toy Drive for children that lost toys due to Hurricane Matthew. Beddingfield students are collecting toys to donate to a local shelter for those that lost their homes to the floods. Mrs. Polner does all of these things while being the proud mother of a 4-month old little girl! She truly is a LifeChanger!
