About the Nominee: Ms. Pierzchala, also known as "Ms. Linda," is amazing! Her nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, states that she has helped their child in the areas of reading, writing and speaking, and that she has helped him to better communicate with others. It goes beyond fixing the "r's" or "s's" he struggles with, and it includes helping him with phonics, which means he has better fluency and comprehension skills. Each student she teaches has a different plan to help them meet their goals of being successful in their individual homerooms. She makes learning fun by using games, hands-on activities, computer programs and projects to motivate and inspire her students. In fact, she provides incentive-driven goals for students to aspire to, including pizza parties! She also comes in early and stays late if a student requests additional help. One can find her at school each morning by 7:00 a.m. for that reason. Her love for teaching is evident in the way she inspires her students to be the best they can be, as they try their hardest.
