About the Nominee: Lisa Evans was nominated by a colleague, Jennifer Polner.Mrs. Evans is a wonderful teacher and LifeChanger in her community. The students really enjoy her class and style of teaching. They also love Mrs. Evans because they know she goes above and beyond to help them. She cares about both their personal and school lives. When any teacher needs assistance, Mrs. Evans graciously volunteers to help, whether it's with coverage of different classes, teaching CPR or helping with any task that she can.Mrs. Evans is active in her church, and she also helps with the Red Cross Blood Drive every semester. She is a lateral entry teacher who has had to overcome not having a background in education. Mrs. Evans rolls with the changes and is a wonderful addition to her school community. She is a great example of what (and who) a teacher should be! Mrs. Evans rocks!
