About the Nominee: Melody Petteway was nominated by First Christian Academy Headmaster, Stan Stone.Mrs. Petteway has been at FCA for seven years. In those years, she has been teaching math, starting with grades 6 and 7 and moving her way up to the high school levels to teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry. FCA students compete each year in the ACSI Math Olympics and have taken home many first, second and third place trophies and ribbons due to her excellent teaching and influence. She prepares the students, not just for making a living, but for life itself.
