About the Nominee: Michael Mayo was nominated by a colleague, Aaron Lewis.Every day, Mr. Mayo has an enormous impact on each of his students' lives. The students always come to school hoping and wishing they will have gym class that day. Many times, being able to go to the gym to see Mr. Mayo and his positive attitude can salvage a student's day. He creates an environment that is welcoming to all students, and an environment where each of his students can count on having a safe place to grow as athletes and young adults.
