About the Nominee: Opal Yates works continuously with teachers, parents, and students to help all students make progress and find success. She is passionate about every student! The progress her students make is amazing, and the relationships she builds with them are unforgettable. As she works with students within her classroom and in co-teaching placements, she focuses on data from the students and what they need to work on to be able to make progress toward their goals. Bowdon Elementary School is a better place because Mrs. Yates brings a passion for students that is contagious.
