About the Nominee: Patricia Flynn was nominated by her principal, Kerry Larke.Miss Flynn began working at Marion G. Vedder Elementary School approximately 22 years ago. She has had a profound effect on hundreds of students who have been blessed to have her as their teacher. Miss Flynn has dedicated her career to helping every student in her class find success. She looks to identify what is of special interest to each student and makes these connections to her classroom. Miss Flynn has an extensive interest in US History and annually assists in a school wide Veterans celebration/concert. She has a passion for teaching that is evident in all she undertakes. Her classroom environment is respectful and radiates the importance of learning. The feedback from her students includes phrases such as, "best teacher ever," "I love Miss Flynn," "I learned so much," and "Miss Flynn believed in me." Parents consistently request that their children be placed in her class. Students rave about her, not because she tries to be their friend or cheerleader, but because she truly is an amazing teacher. The admiration students, parents and colleagues have for Miss Flynn has been well deserved. Her school is truly fortunate to have her as an educator and LifeChanger!
