About the Nominee: Sasha Scott was nominated by Donna Pippins.Ms. Scott is a huge promoter of school spirit for both staff and students. She is always upbeat and works tirelessly to make Hilltop High School a positive experience for each person who crosses her path. She goes out of her way to show appreciation to her peers and keeps students actively engaged in school activities with a mix of love, compassion, concern and creativity. Her high energy personality and "can do" attitude make her a perfect role model and mentor to the diverse student body at Hilltop High.She arrives early and stays late to support the numerous student activities offered on campus, including heading up the ASB and serving as administrator for the Girls' Athletics department. She is respected by staff and students alike and constantly strives to infuse Hilltop's campus with "Lancer" spirit and make it feel like a "family". One example of this can be seen in the posters placed on every classroom door before the start of the school year. These personalized posters were meant to welcome back returning teachers and say hello to new ones. The posters helped many students find their classrooms, and they were such an inspiration to the staff that many of them are still hanging on teachers' doors months later. Ms. Scott is actively involved in district and campus initiatives and truly puts the good of her school before personal gain.
