About the Nominee: Stacie Figueroa is so much more than a health teacher. She goes above and beyond for Tuloso-Midway High School (TMHS)! In addition to being involved in all after school activities, she sponsors a Peer Assistance Leadership group that mentors younger students at the district's primary school. She also coordinates the concessions at all athletic events for TMHS and participates in many community service activities on behalf of the school. Ms. Figueroa spearheads her school's homecoming events, including the homecoming parade. She implemented and sponsored "Fish Camp" for the new freshman this past summer and has also led Grad Night, which is a drug and alcohol-free party that lasts the entire night following graduation. Ms. Figueroa is a TMHS graduate that has given back and continues to give back. She never says no and is always available for her students, staff and community. She is a LifeChanger!
