About the Nominee: Veronica Escaname was nominated by Toni Raymond, the parent of a student.Ms. Escaname has helped many children, including Ms. Raymond's child, believe that they were good at math. Previously, Ms. Raymond's child believed that math was not their 'thing.' The year they had Ms. Escaname for math and that changed everything. Now, their test scores have soared, as well their confidence in their math abilities. With extreme passion, Ms. Escaname goes above and beyond to help all students believe in their math capabilities. She is a teaching superhero!
