About the Nominee: Donte Todd was nominated by Tamara Lawrence, the parent of a student.Mr. Todd is a great asset to West Clayton Elementary School! He is an essential part of M.O.E.S (Mentoring for Exceptional Students), a program that he brought to West Clayton. Mr. Todd's nominator, Tamara Lawrence, is a single mother of two children. In the M.O.E.S program, her daughter grew and became vice president of the Pearl Chapter at West Clayton. Ms. Lawrence saw her daughter excel in her role, as well as gain confidence as a student and young lady.Mr. Todd goes above and beyond in making a difference, not just in the young men and women at West Clayton Elementary, but in the community as well. He is also a part of the military community as a Second Lieutenant in the Alabama Army National Guard. He has been (and continues to be) an inspiration to Ms. Lawrence as a parent to keep going and to make a difference!
