About the Nominee: Irene Reyna was nominated by a colleague, Stephany Brown.Ms. Reyna is a dedicated and compassionate special education teacher who works with students that have autism. She is always coming up with new ideas to help her students learn in the ways they know best. Ms. Reyna always sets her students up to succeed. She, along with her aides, create learning tools and enrichment activities to make learning more fun. Ms. Brown, who has worked with the Bakersfield City School District for 19 years, says that she couldn't ask for a better teacher to work with as an assistant!
