About the Nominee: Jerry Lynn was nominated by a colleague, Patsy Williams.Mr. Lynn is a professional artist with a passion for teaching. He has been the art teacher at J.P. Starks School for the past three years, and he does a great job ofmc sharing his talent with students. Ninety-eight percent of the students on campus are economically disadvantaged, and many of them may have never known about their artistic talents if it wasn't for this LifeChanger. He works diligently and patiently with these students to pull out their hidden potential. Due to his leadership and inspiring spirit, students with some of the biggest challenges have found an outlet in art and have gone on to win city and state competitions. One student even won a national competition! Mr. Lynn has patience and a calming spirit. The students really look forward to his class every day. Mr. Lynn also gives extra time to his students by providing an after-school art club. He even holds a class each semester for parents to join in and learn a few techniques, as well. Mr. Lynn changes the lives of students and parents each and every day by showing them the possibilities that the world has to offer.
