About the Nominee: Patricia Handshoe was nominated by Gwen Hutchinson, the parent of a student.Mrs. Handshoe is all things to all people, no matter who they are or what their background is. She goes out of her way to find various ways to teach new, innovative techniques to students at all levels of capabilities. Mrs. Handshoe demonstrates patience and kindness, and Ms. Hutchinson states that she has seen her work countless hours after school and arrive early to prepare for the day. Mrs. Handshoe has a knack for reaching students who often don't want to be at school, treating them with the same attention and respect she would others. Ms. Hutchinson has also witnessed her meeting students' physical needs, making sure they have eaten their breakfast and connecting them with valuable resources (i.e., clothing) when needed. Mrs. Handshoe is a LifeChanger who stands out in her community!
