About the Nominee: Tandy Smith is the best teacher ever! She really puts in the extra effort to make sure her students understand what she is teaching them. Many of her former students come back to see her because they love and appreciate her so much. She cares for the students she is teaching, and it shows. She has proven her ability to benefit the students she teaches again and again. Mrs. Smith's presence makes Panter Elementary School a happier place to be for both her students and peers. Her 17 years of experience shows in all that she does; she has a true mastery of her craft. Recently, she furthered her skill set by obtaining her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Her nurturing attitude touches her students so much that they have to give her hugs daily! They love and appreciate her very much.
