About the Nominee: Melanie Brown was nominated by a student, Danniece Brewer. This is the second year Ms. Brown has been nominated for LifeChanger of the Year. She was previously nominated for the 2015-2016 school year.A graduate of Converse College, Ms. Brown has been teaching for over 23 years and is going into her third year teaching at R.P Dawkins Middle School. The passion she shows everyday for teaching is amazing and inspiring. She is dedicated to teaching and loves her students as if they were her own. Her nominator, Danniece, says that when Ms. Brown walks into her classroom, one can see her passion come out. Out of all the years Ms. Brown has taught, Ms. Brewer says that she has never heard a complaint from her or her students. She is a very respectable woman and a phenomenal teacher who never fails to show it.
